On the 6th of June, 2026, CURE together with a network of Non-governmental Organizations in the Environment and Natural Resource Management (ENRM) led by Malawi Environmental Endowment Trust (MEET) cycled from Blantyre to Mulanje in quest to fundraise for Michiru Mountain.
The initiative themed Cycle for Environment came as a commemoration of the 2026 World Environment Day with special focus on raising funds to support community scouts working tirelessly to protect Michiru mountain various forms of destruction and degradation by unrully individuals.
The cyclers who started off at around 7am in the morning Blantyre peddled through the Thyolo road to Mulanje Golf Club in Mulanje. The journey was spiced by various stops where messages of environmental conservation were disseminated to the public.
